ABOUT NCCJAL

The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) of Alabama was founded in 1932 and is dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry, and racism through advocacy, conflict resolution, and education. Led by an all-volunteer board since 2011, NCCJ of Alabama continues its mission to promote understanding and respect among all races, religions and cultures.

Funds raised at the 46th Brotherhood and Sisterhood Awards Dinner will support Anytown Alabama (formerly known as Camp Anytown), a week-long leadership institute dedicated to empowering students to become leaders in creating a stronger, more inclusive community for all. Students from all races, religions, ethnicities and classes are selected to participate. Founded in 1989, Anytown Alabama has graduated more than 2,000 “Anybuddies” who continue to impact their communities. Although fully funded through NCCJ of Alabama since its inception, Anytown Alabama has been staffed and managed by YWCA of Central Alabama, in partnership with NCCJ of Alabama, since 2011.
